We enjoy a very positive relationship with our parents and carers and we welcome their involvement in school life.

We have many opportunities throughout the school year for parents and carers to come in to learn alongside their children, work with their children and enjoy seeing them perform.

Assemblies & Productions

Throughout the year every class holds an assembly that parents & carers can come along and enjoy. Reception class hold a Christmas and Mothers Day Assembly and also have a Graduation event at the end of the school year. We also hold productions at Christmas , during the Spring and Summer terms and hold a very special Leavers Service for Year 6 in their final week at Lapal, which is always a very emotional event! KS1 and KS2 also enjoy a Services at St Peters church to which the local community is warmly invited.

Workshops

Throughout the year we organise curriculum related workshops that aim to help you support your child at home. Parents have benefitted from attending workshops on phonics and reading, maths calculations, sex education, SATs tests and residential trips. We always take feedback from parents following these workshops to see how we can tailor the events to make then even more worthwhile next time.

Parents are also invited in to view lessons in action and participate in their child’s learning.
