NHS Pharmacy First Service
Did you know that the NHS Pharmacy First Service enables children and adults to get convenient access to healthcare advice and treatment where appropriate, for seven common conditions without the potential delay of having to wait for a GP appointment? Accessing the service may mean that can help children feel better and back to school as quickly as possible, as well as supporting parents/carers to also get better if they are unwell with one of the conditions covered under the service.
There is no need to make an appointment; parents or carers can pop into their local Boots pharmacy with their child and ask for help under the service.
Support for the following conditions can be accessed under the service, free of charge (unless NHS prescription charges apply):

Year 1 have been busy learning about Christingles this week in RE.
We learnt that they are used by some Christian people in church during the time of Advent, to celebrate the birth of Jesus and Jesus as the Light of the World. We also learnt that each part of the Christingles has a special meaning behind it:
The word Christingle means 'Christ's light'.
Look how amazing our Christingle looks!
Year 1 had an amazing time at Leasowes High School yesterday. They took part in lots of activities focusing on ball skills and team games. We are super proud of every single one of our superstars. They all showed fantastic listening skills, perseverance and cooperation.
Reception have enjoyed baking gingerbread in their first school cooking experience. They used their senses to explore and describe the dough, then decorated them with sticky icing! We had to be very careful that the characters didn't run away before we could eat them.
